Welcome to the Anchorage Waterfront Retreat, located on the bank of the iconic Huon River between Castle Forbes Bay and Port Huon in the beautiful Huon Valley. With no road between the Anchorage and the river we are the only accommodation in the region with direct access to the riverfront and a jetty. You will have stunning panoramic views of the Huon River and to the north is the Wellington Range.
The Anchorage provides fully self-contained deluxe accommodation with everything you need. The upstairs area features open plan living
and dining, a fully equipped kitchen, spacious master bedroom and bathroom and laundry. Pantry staples, a coffee pod machine, linen and toiletries are also included.
For 2 couples or family with children over 5, the second bedroom and bathroom is downstairs and overlooks the pool and panoramic river views.
For children under 5 a cot or rollaway bed will be made available in the parents master bedroom.
Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, bedroom 2 has a king size bed or can be split into 2 singles.
You can take a dip in the solar heated pool and relax in the sauna. With the lawn reaching to the water's edge, you can wander down to our jetty, throw out a line and be enchanted by the surrounding views.
You may spot dolphins and seals venturing to this area of the river and a mooring is available for your boat by prior arrangement.
The tranquillity of the Huon River can be enjoyed at any time of the year and the Anchorage offers a unique opportunity to stay in total comfort right on the river's edge surrounded by nature in the beautiful Huon Valley.
The Anchorage Retreat has a private entrance separate from the owners adjoining residence and total privacy is assured.
